Summer in the Psalms (Psalm 116)

by

We have a fairly pronounced “negative bias” in our culture – we tend to be moved to action when we experience something that is negative versus when we experience something positive. In Psalm 116 we find the account of a person who was moved to action when he experienced something positive, namely deliverance from a deadly situation. Through this Psalm, Pastor Derrick challenges us to be moved to action (praise) when we reflect on God’s character and his saving work on our behalf.
