Seeing God as he is allows us to see ourselves as we are (Isaiah 6:1-7)

Pastor Brandon takes a momentary detour from 1st Corinthians in an attempt to prepare us for what Paul will be discussing in the upcoming chapters. He uses Isaiah’s vision of Christ in the temple (Isaiah 6, John 12:41) in attempt to have us appreciate the majesty of the God to whom Paul refers in 1st Corinthians. If we see him as he is (e.g., supreme, holy, and majestic) we are compelled to joyfully surrender to his calling upon our lives.
