Blessed Suffering That Comes From God’s Hand (Job 1-2)

by

After noting the season of trials that many in the church are enduring, Pastor Brandon deviated from the his series to address the manner in which the moments should be weighed. The God of the Bible did not find himself surprised by the hardships in your life. To the contrary, he may very well be the author of the trials. God, not Satan, nominated Job for suffering (Job 1:8). He then placed precisely limitations on Satan, Job’s attacker (Job 1:12). Can a God who is the author of trials be worshipped? That is the wrong question. Instead we should be challenged by asking, “Can a God who is not the sovereign author of my trials be worshipped?” Knowing that he does not act arbitrarily and all of his actions will be for your betterment, you should want no on except him to be behind your difficult seasons
