Sacred Space
The Earth and all of its inhabitants belong to the Lord (Psalm 24:1-2). When Jesus says, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me…” he is asserting his Kingship (Matthew 28:16-20). His Kingdom has been established and every square inch of the universe is his Kingdom and, therefore, all of creation is sacred. Jesus’ commission to the Church compels us to go out and impact the world in such a manner that puts God’s Kingdom on display. We do this by way of regular outreach events that we call “Sacred Space.”
During months in which there are five Sundays, in lieu of our regular 10:00 AM worship gathering, The Embassy Church worships by dedicating the fifth Sunday to serving and praying in our community. We call these worship gatherings “Sacred Space.” It is our desire that, by God’s grace, these moments will bring restoration to that which is broken. This is one of the ways we make God famous – showing that all of His creation is sacred.
